Are you curious what is behind Sick Chick Designs?

All our jewelry is originally made by Sick Chicks, two friends based in Revelstoke, right in the mountainy heart of beautiful British Columbia, Canada. That is also where our inspiration comes from. We love spending time outside - hiking, climbing or snowboarding mountains, paddleboarding on all the beautiful rivers and lakes, camping on the beaches, walking an awesome puppy Sailor, who recently became the newest team member. Our studio will never be the same, haha.
 
We want to share our love and passion with you through this fun colorful jewelry inspired by the paradise we have a privilege to live in. 
 
Maybe you want to ask: “What is so special about this jewelry?” Well, our answer is not only the final product you can see in our eshop. But it is the whole process before you can actually put the unique design piece in your ear / hang it on your neck / pin it on your tote, hat or denim jacket / hang it on the wall in your living room.

First of all two of us go together to an adventurous trip. There we would see mountains, which inspire us and we start thinking and talking about future designs options. And yes, we remember all the colours of sky, meadows or friends mountain bikes. After we return home, we sketch our ideas and put them into computer. Then we laser cut into a sheet of wood, which was sourced locally, sliced and sanded by our friend in local wood shop, with love and patient. Another step is opening a can of beer and hand colouring every single piece. We love mixing new shades of any colour and combining them together into new unexpected combinations. This is freestyle! We listen to music, podcasts, Sailor’s howling and each other’s stories. 
Last two steps are to complete earrings with high quality hypoallergenic studs and putting them into cards.
